‘American Places for Worship: Photographic Survey of Contemporary Religious Places in America’ project

Recently, my interest in knowing more about the meaning and impact of rapid changes in places of worship in America continues to grow.  Frequently, I read about churches permanently closing one after another due to low attendance, financial challenges, or building deficiencies. Conversely, I would regularly discover new non-traditional places of worship on my drive route. I create typological images of ‘American Places for Worship’ by photographically documenting these places.
