About Studio RIE
Studio RIE is a New England–based artist consulting practice founded by Eric Sung, a lens-based artist, scholar, and cultural worker whose career bridges creative practice, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Rooted in the belief that art can catalyze meaningful dialogue and social change, Studio RIE works with individuals, organizations, and communities to transform ideas into thoughtful, impactful creative action.
Studio RIE provides consulting services for artists and arts organizations, offering guidance in creative development, project planning, community engagement, and strategic visioning. With a focus on collaboration and innovation, the studio helps clients navigate both the conceptual and practical dimensions of artistic work.
About Eric Sung
Eric Sung brings a unique blend of artistic vision, academic rigor, and cultural leadership to Studio RIE. As a lens-based artist and scholar, Sung’s work grows from a commitment to experiential and community-centered creative practice. His projects often emerge through collaboration with diverse stakeholders, transforming interdisciplinary ideas into engaging, socially conscious works.

Eric Sung is a Full Professor of Art at Providence College and serves as Lab Faculty for College Unbound. He is a member of the WARP Collective Artists Group and serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for Photographic Education.
